I know the lesson guides are being prepared, and I'm not trying to pressure. (I promise I'm being patient, in spite of all my questions.)
However, what are your thoughts on purchasing the study guides for the books mentioned in the program outlines? This would be to get started while waiting for the full lesson guides. For example (as I'm looking specifically at year 3), the Children's History of the World or the one about birds.
Would this just be a waste as I'd be doubling up, or a smart move because the lesson guides won't be available in the next six months? (I know the curriculum writer is doing a ton of great work right now. I so appreciate it all.)
No worries, I'm always happy to help! :)
Hi Amanda,
Yes, I would agree that Year Two: The Complete Guide would be as close to Program 1: LSB as you could get as far as lesson plans. You would also need The Children's Book of Birds -just the text and not the guide. The lesson plans for this book are included in Year Two: The Complete Guide.
I did make a change with regard to book choices for the study of the pond in Program 1: LSB, but using the books listed for Year Two: The Complete Guide will absolutely be fine.
Please contact me through email if you decide to go forward with this plan. I will send you some free bird cards and a PDF file of poetry used in Year Two that you will need.
I hope this helps!
I suppose I see now that it may be best to get the program I for lower school b and the complete guide for year 2 to have the majority.
