Tales of Peter Rabbit and His Friends
    Pre-Prep and Preparatory
Hello Everyone! I've recently added a new guide just for the Preparatory level - Tales of Peter Rabbit and His Friends: A Reading Guide . This guide -an accompaniment to Tales of Peter Rabbit and His Friends- will offer some light structure to help teachers work through these books/tales with your students. Please use them only as they best fit your students. If any of the lesson preparation work or narration prompts are too much, then definitely scale them back. We want our young Preparatory students to be delighted with these stories! While I had originally planned to hold off on any lesson plans for these Early School levels [with lesson plans starting only in Year One], I have decided to go ahead and begin creating guides for Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory. These will certainly take me a year or so to begin publishing. The caveat for these ages -heavily emphasized- is that structured lesson plans are simply not needed. The guides will offer a very flexible plan with the focus being on how to best help the teacher implement a very light and wonder-filled Early School curriculum.

    WELCOME EVERYONE!
    General Questions
The forum has received a few new updates. At this time, all new members must be approved before joining. This is still a very simple process, but it allows me [or moderators] an opportunity to check registrations, removing members who are not real or who seek to troll. Please feel free to ask questions, share ideas about this curriculum, your ideas for applying it, support one another, ask questions about Charlotte Mason methods and even share general homeschooling and educational thoughts. Questions might include: Which books worked best for students in Year Three to read independently while in Lower School B? What ideas do you have for including preschool children -or occupying them while I'm teaching older students? My little ones will not sit still during The Children's Hour. Any suggestions that worked for you? Shared support might include: This has been such a hard week. I know that I can't be alone in this. Does anyone have any funny stories that might help lighten my day? Or share your difficult week/day. Rules for Posting on the Forum Be respectful of others. We will all come from different perspectives, and this should be valued and not demeaned. Do not come here to troll, spam or in any way diminish others. All spam posts will be deleted and those members will be blocked and deleted. Keep personal information to a minimum. There are always risks with this. Please do not share forum content outside of the forum in any way. We want everyone to feel that what they share is protected. Do not take advantage of this forum by posting only to sell -or helping others to sell- products. You may share some items if they fit a particular point or topic, but please refrain from using the forum as a means for promotion. Honor and respect copyright laws. Please let me know if I can add a category that would better appeal to you. I may add to this list as the need arises. Feel free to point out something I might have overlooked. My overall goal is to offer a safe and welcoming community for homeschool parents and educators. It's so important that we share, support and balance each other. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. I can be reached through email. I try to respond as quickly as I can. Thank you, Lisa Kelly

Does anyone use assignment sheets? If so, at what age/in what year did you begin them? What do they look like for you?
