This guided study was designed to accompany Holiday Pond by Edith M. Patch  as well as selections from By Pond and River by Arabella Buckley.  With 36 lessons, it includes a complete lesson companion for each chapter as well as object lessons, extension lessons, notes for supportive additional reading and printable pages.
 
This guide was designed for ages 7-9, although slightly older children can be included if expectations are shifted upward to better meet their needs. It includes a reading schedule for 1 term, 1 semester and 1 year, giving it great flexibility. A few coloring pages are also included.
