American Folk Tales: A Reading Guide is a companion guide for both American Tall Tales by Adrien Stoutenburg and Cut from the Same Cloth by Robert D. San Souci. The lessons in this guide will provide the teacher with the teaching notes needed to prepare the readings, multiple and varied narration suggestions, a geographical survey of US states and a light introduction to some literary terms.
 
These lessons are targeted for ages 7-12, Year Three or Program 3: Lower School B.
