On the Earth and In It: A Guided Study is a companion guide to Herman and Nina Schneider's Rocks, Rivers and the Changing Earth: A First Book about Geology [Hillside Education edition, but Dover could be substituted]. Students will read as well as learn through hands-on investigations about rivers, rocks, oceans, soil, mountains and inside the earth itself.
This guide includes pre-reading notes, narration prompts, additional reading and activity suggestions, exam prompts and more. Investigation labs are written separately from the book for easier use.
Ages 9-14; This guide was created for Years 5 & 6 and will be included in the Program guides for Lower School A. It is designed to be flexible so that students slightly younger and older could also use it successfully.
